Bangalore: There’s terror in cyber space, all thanks to the crucial data it carries and thereat it garners. A hacker can raise hell by attacking the banking service or traffic signals or travel site you just logged into book your holiday or by attacking the systems that carry country’s confidential data.
In this environment of heightened cyber security concerns, Akamai Technologies, an Internet content delivery network and one of the world's largest distributed-computing platforms, accounting 15 and 20 percent of all web traffic has come up with a study. The study says that ten countries including China, and India accounted for three-quarters of the world's cyber-assault traffic during the last quarter of 2012.
