Things You Couldn't Do Without NFC Technology

Bangalore: From skipping the pairing step of a Bluetooth connection to finding your car that is lost in the overcrowded parking lot, all with a single touch on your cell phone, there is a lot you can do with the Near-Field Communication (NFC) Technology. Taking a gigantic leap from Charles Wanton’s Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), NFC technology will make our worlds “Touch-Smart”.

While many of us are still wondering about what is all this buzz about the next big thing in short distance communication, enterprises and organizations around the globe have already started playing to the tunes of NFC and have implemented it to an optimum level.

Here are five really cool things that you can do only with NFC.

1. Find your lost car

Launched by the Dutch Company NXP is the Car Finder key that stores the GPS co-ordinates of the place where you left your car and can communicate with your Smartphone via NFC. In case you feel that you have lost your car, you can transfer the GPS co-ordinates of your car to your cell phone and track it through Google Map. Other applications that come handy with it are Route Planner, Car Personalization and Car Self-Diagnosis.
