Technologies Banned in Different Countries
Bangalore: What does it take for a technology to get banned? Apparently, nothing! Some countries ban the technologies and products in the name of security issues which cover up Government’s interest, while some others ban them due to people’s demur.
In many case, banning these technologies had raised protest from the people who admire them but were unable to use them due to someone else’s interest. Here is a list of technologies banned around the world.
Australia- Laser Pointers
It is illegal to carry a laser pointer with you while you are in Australia. The government had completely banned the laser pointers classifying them as “prohibited weapons.” The ban has been made after a series of attacks with laser beam over low flying helicopters and flights, where the attackers tried to blind the pilot with the beam.
