The former chief executive and chairman of Microsoft, the world’s largest personal-computer software company, Bill Gates has a net worth of $ 79.2 billion and he has decided that half of his property will go to charity. His three children will get around ten million dollars each.

Gates along with his wife has combined three family foundations to create the charitable "Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation," in 1994 and that was identified by the Funds for NGOs Company in 2013 as the world's wealthiest charitable foundation as it has more than 36 billion dollar assets.

Gates with his friend Buffett has started a campaign called ‘The Giving Pledge’ that encourages other billionaires to donate half of their wealth for charity.
