Samsung Is Working On An Android Flip Phone

Bangalore: Samsung is working on a flip phone that will run on the latest Android Jelly Bean mobile platform. The mobile could revive the flip phone fad which charmed the users some time ago; Motorola RAZR was the front runner then.

The new offering from Samsung will be called as Galaxy Folder and it will have a flip cover just like Moto RAZR. The device will run on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and will be powered by dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It will have 480x800 WVGA display screen, according to a Japanese blog site, Blog of Mobile.

Like its predecessors, the device will come with a numerical key pad, and there is also the possibility of it being touch and type enabled phone. According to the South Korean paper DDaily, a Samsung Electronics official said that the Smartphone will be released in August and it would support LTE for 4G.

When it comes to its price, it is a low-end Smartphone, and it is apparently aimed at the users who like the old styled physical key pad than the latest touch screen.

Reportedly the phone is to debut in the home market first, and it will come with model numbers SHV-E400S/ SHV-E400K.
