Nokia To Recapture India With Lumia's Price Tag


Bangalore: Finnish manufacturer, Nokia tries to regain its lost market share in the mobile sector by planning on a “ramp-up year” in 2013 as it focuses on affordable price levels for its newly released Lumia range, according to the TOI reports.

Nokia has been losing frequently to rivals Samsung and Apple and the company plans to take on a competition with Asha and Lumia series as both its engines have undergone a transition phase in 2012.

"Design is a competitive advantage we have and will be inherent in whatever we do," Vipul Mehrotra, Director of Smart devices, India and Middle East Africa. Nokia plans to shift its focus on strengthening its position in the high-end Smartphone segment.

Current pricing of Nokia Lumia Windows 8 phones

Nokia Lumia 520: The most recent phone in the Lumia family, it comes in a decent size and is the least powerful model in this range. It is priced at 10, 500 which is cheaper compared to the earlier 510.
