BANGALAORE: MailTrack is a free add-on for Chrome, which enables the users to know their email activity. As WhatsApp updates the status regarding when a message has been sent and read, MailTrack can offer the similar feature for Gmail. Mailtrack asserts that they will never access any content of your emails, but for privacy obsessed users, it could still be a turn off. Once you install the MailTrack, it will become a part of your Gmail. The add-on will show two tick marks on the email you sent, one tick mark indicates that the mail has been sent successfully, and the other denotes that it has been read. It will also display the date and time of when your mail was delivered and when it was read. The users may get miffed with its automatic addition of signature ‘Sent with MailTrack’ on the mails you send, however you can turn it off by going to the settings on the Mailtrack website.
