Is Apple To The Rich As Android To The Poor?

Android phones are available at smart prices and are smart to move rather than being ogled at or aspired towards. China, Britain, Australia, Spain and Germany see Android as the bestseller in the market while Apple leads in Japan and the U.S.

Pew Internet Research Center’s Internet and American Life Project says that Android is the chosen Smartphone for people without money holding the lower – middle class trend. Manufacturers are even free to use Android, paying nothing to Google. Cheap Android also runs Twitter, Instagram, enabling users to read mails and listen to music effectively.

However, when coming to Windows Smartphone, it has been gaining respectable shares in Europe with shares of sales in Britain and Italy, going up to 5.9 and 13.9 percent respectively. But China and U.S.  markets remain underwhelmed with its performance making it challenging for Microsoft in 2013.

Apple accounted for 51.2 percent of Smartphone sales in the United States, during the 12 week period before December 23rd last year. Smartphones powered by Google backed Android software, made up slightly more than 44 percent of the sales with Microsoft’s handsets coming in the third place with 2.6 percent sales.
