Pune: The Leadership Awards for Automotive Electronics was held on September 17, 2012 in Pune. These awards honour those who are driving the growth of automotive electronics in India.

The evolution in this industry is driven forward by both established stalwarts and young entrepreneurs who have turned around the limited growth in this field. SiliconIndia and Mentor Graphics, a leader in electronic hardware and software design solutions, jointly instituted these awards to recognize the efforts taken by the individuals and organizations in this domain to bring automotive electronics to the forefront in India.

Recognizing the best in Automotive embedded electronics and Wiring Harness Industry, these awards in 5 different categories encourages the R&D work done by Indian OEMs, Service providers and companies especially in terms of innovation, quality, reliability, technology and continuous improvement.

The winners of these prestigious awards were chosen out of 45 nominations under five different categories from across India. After an aggressive short listing and online voting over a period of one month, a distinguished panel comprising of accomplished Indian CEOs and the SiliconIndia editorial board decided on the awardees.
