Bangalore: From today, you won’t need that traditional calculator which comes preloaded with your operating system or even a real scientific calculator to perform the calculations. Google, the biggest search engine now offers a virtual calculator for all your calculations.

Until now, Google had offered the results for arithmetic queries in bold letters just above the search results. Say if you had asked the search giant 17 x 18, it will display the answer 306 in bold letters. But now, the results appear on the display portion of a virtual scientific calculator that appears above all your results. It has 34 buttons including standard trigonometric functions.

The best thing about the calculator is that it’s available in mobile also. It appeared on the browsers in both iOS and Android. The usability is good when the phone is kept in the portrait mode. Moreover interestingly, the calculator can perform operations via voice search like “cosine of 70 degrees.”

As reported by Mashable, many of the math nerds are excited with the Google’s move. Google, the preachers of “open internet” is integrating every feature possible into its search engine to make it far ahead of its competetors.
