#10 Facebook tried to do mobile deals

‘Free’ is the word that strikes everybody’s chord. It is the strategy generally used by the online marketing sites, malls, big and small brands, and others, to draw customers to their door steps. Facebook couldn’t resist the temptation too, and took a crack at it with ‘Deals.” You were supposed to turn your mobile on, as simple as that, and get a deal offered. There’s a lot of possibility that you never came across Facebook “Deals” that makes it too obvious a failure.

#9 Facebook tried to help Microsoft crush Google Docs

Mark Zuckerberg, in April 2010, collaborated with Microsoft on Docs.com. The motive was allegedly to crush Google Docs.  With Docs.com, users would be able to share their Microsoft documents with friends and others. Though it really attracted attention for a month after its launch, people forgot all about it later.
