Compucom Software Wins Rs. 158cr Contract From Rajasthan Govt

New Delhi: Software and education company Compucom Software has bagged Rs 158.50 crore contract from the Rajasthan government for providing IT education in schools.

The company will provide computer education on BOOT basis in 1,373 government secondary schools of Rajasthan, the Jaipur-based firm said in a BSE filing today.

"The contract value is worth Rs 158.50 crore," it said. The project involves setting up computer labs with solar systems for power backup and use of satellite education.

Following the announcement, shares of the company jumped over 7 per cent to settle at Rs 9.60 on the BSE.

Compucom Software provides ICT-enabled education in government and private schools. It also provides technology solutions across telecom, finance, energy & utility, health and e-Governance segments.

It had also bagged an ICT project worth Rs 46 crore from Bihar State Education Infrastructure Development corporation to provide computer education on Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis in 336 government schools of Bihar.
