Apple To Integrate Flickr, Vimeo Support In iOS 7

Bangalore: The Cupertino tech company has been making efforts to offer deep social network integration in its next version of Apple iOS, since after its incorporation of Twitter in iOS 5 and Facebook integration in iOS 6. And now Apple is on the move to expand its social network integration in its upcoming iOS 7 using Flickr, a photo sharing site and Vimeo, which is a video sharing site; reports LA Times.

It is said that the company is expected to announce its next version iOS 7 and will come with more third-party social network integration as users will be able to post quickly onto more social network accounts from any part of the operating system.

Apart from Flickr and Vimeo, there is hardly any information on whether other services will be included. But, there is still a lot of speculations on Apple’s shaky mind-set about Flickr and Vimeo before its official iOS 7 announcement, but if they are included, it will be a great profit for the social networks.

Currently, Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users can easily access Twitter and Facebook accounts as both the services are integrated onto the mobile operating system few years back. Flickr, owned by Yahoo was once a giant in photo-sharing services but as of now has been overtaken by Facebook as well as Facebook owned Instagram. If Apple makes it easier for users to quickly share pictures on Flickr, then it will probably turn out to be very profitable for Yahoo’s photo-sharing network.

Meanwhile, Vimeo, known for its video quality, already is in the second position among top video-sharing sites as YouTube still remains the best site. Apple might add Vimeo as an alternative to sharing their videos on YouTube, owned by rival Google.
