This demonstrated that any developer who builds an app that is widely popular on the iOS platform doesn’t need to get popular on the Android platform as well to mint cash—the app had the ability to raise $500 million at a funding round even without going to the Android platform.

The scenario sent to developers one crucial message: Focus on iOS first, and then Android.
