Bangalore: Over the years Apple has grown into a leader in consumer electronics, thanks to their innovative technology which brought out classy and geeky products. But the company over the years also attracted criticism for making the products difficult and expensive to repair.

iFixit,  the company which sells repair parts and publishes free wiki-like online repair guides for consumer electronics and gadgets on its website, has been most vocal critic of the Cupertino giant. The company is the first one to come out openly about how Apple makes its products which are difficult and expensive to repair, and are complicated to recycle.

Read on to know  9 things Apple uses  in its products, as compiled by ZDNet, Image Courtesy: iFixit.

#9 Adhesive

It is a common practice to use screws to hold components together in a device, but Apple seems to be against screws as they ruin the line of products, and this makes it  easy to get inside the device.

Considering this, the current Apple product lineups like, iPhone 5, iPad 4, and iPad mini, make extensive use of adhesives to hold the components in place. The screens, batteries, cabling, and other components are placed in the devices using adhesives.

The use of adhesives makes it tricky to repair the devices, like trying to free the battery may harm the components which are glued along to it.

1: So what..All of these have been done for the benefit of the customer..If it cannot be repaired by any local dealer,it doesnt mean Apple is using a technique to make money, its taking a step to ensure that the devices comes only under expert hands and no fake units or duplicate units go in the device while replacement and bluetooth..yaa its a problem.but it makes sure that the device isnt affected by virus. Isnt dat good for the customer ???
cost is not a big issue for the rich customers.better the quality, higher the prices, cheap products attracts more customers..For say Samsung.Naughty softwares atimes steals private information..Isnt it good dat only certified apps are there in your phone ??? I have used SIRI and it worked fine and steps to include India has been taken. If Foxconn faces a problem, why should people hate Apple ?? Isnt censorship a good thing ??? why do u negative in everthing ??
