The security researchers at Proofpoint have discovered a wide-scale hack on a smart refrigerator i.e. software-enhanced appliance capable of linking to the internet and the hackers can attack sending and receiving information.

According to the Proofpoint report, hackers break into around 100,000 consumer gadgets including refrigerators and they used these objects to send more than 750,000 malicious emails to enterprises and individuals globally, reports Toptenz.

The trend is modern one and the some cars are controlled by computers now, and where there are computers, hackers are following them.

Most of the manufacturers are regulating brake-by-wire rather than normal brakes in the cars. These cars are equipped in with in-car communications network, and thus hackers have a way to breach in the entire car. The automakers are constantly working to secure networks, developing locks down corporate servers.
