Bangalore: Intel, at all its glory was the world’s largest chip maker, who powered billions of computers worldwide. The company's advertising campaign of the 90’s with the pleasant “Intel Inside” trademark five-note “bong” sound, carved its name into the hearts of tech lovers. But lately, the tech giant slipped to another phase with sales declining for the first time in 12 years. According to the industry analysts, this indicates a titanic shift in the technology world, which could erase the name of this dominant player from industry.

# 7 PC Is Almost Dead

The world is shifting to a post PC era. People opt for tablets and Smartphones which could perform all their operational needs, rather than buying a PC. Businesses, which had the lion’s share of PCs, are also following the trend. According to Forrester research, within 3 years, there will be 750 million tablets in use and businesses will own almost one third of them. According to another research from Forrester, 13% of respondents said they bought their tablet instead of a laptop and 14% said they won’t buy a new laptop ever.
