Bangalore: 2012 was very eventful as we witnessed the extremely entertaining Apple vs Samsung which gave birth to the internet memes depicting Samsung paying Apple trucks full of change and then there was the Hype of Facebook going public but we were let down.

The tech world has been filled with tug of wars and we will see some of the most interesting dramas unfold this year. Here is a list of top 5 ones that will keep us clicking and thinking ‘This should be on television’ and do not be disheartened because it will be.

#5 Facebook

Facebook continues to tweak and tweeze its users with new experiments that will enable it to gather some profits off the free social networking site. It has introduced advertisements in the news feed and has already started seeing good profits. Facebook has had its share of dominance but very soon the era of social network will be taken over by the age of micro blogging. Almost half a billion people have signed up for twitter making it the fastest growing network in the world.

Google+ is not far behind, though it was termed as a failure, Google+ is now the second largest social network in the world. Google+ has failed to dazzle us right from its launch but who’s to say that it cannot rise up to the occasion and become the late bloomer of the social network arena?

There is already some tension bubbling up between Facebook and Google after Facebook launched its graph search which can rival the search engine of the tech giant. At a recent unveiling, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “Our relationship with Google isn’t such where the companies really talk,” indicating the strain between the two companies.
