Bangalore: It’s the season of acquisitions. Facebook’s $1 billion Instagram buy is running all over the web. Small deals like Zynga’s buy of OMGPOP, Twitter’s acquisition of Posterous adds flavor to the season.

While the tech entrepreneurs buzz and predict about the next big acquisition, Venture beat compiled a list of five tech deals that make sense and need to happen soon.

Here are the five “must happen” tech deals.

Google Buys Twitter

It would have been better if Google had thought about this a year before. But with Twitter’s current $10 billion valuation, it seems to be a mammoth task for Google, but it’s never too late. Anyway Twitter needs a home and Google needs to be more social since things are not working out good with Google+. So, if the deal is done, Google can enrich its search data and integrate twitter to its every platform like Gmail and chrome and eventually can stand up as a good “social-rival” to Facebook.
