Bangalore: Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook has completed 1 year into his tenure. There was a lot of distress in the tech world for Apple’s future after Jobs passed away last year. And Cook has done a great job in helping Apple achieve many feats including becoming the world's most valuable firm ever. Though he faced many tough challenges, Tim Cook did many amazing things at Apple which his predecessor Steve Jobs never considered. Let’s have a look at some of those things:

5. Tim Cook Is Not a Scrooge McDuck

Steve Jobs was not charitable kind of person. But just a week into Cook's tenure, he started a program in which Apple matches dollar-for-dollar any charitable donation made to a nonprofit, up to $10,000. This was a first time for Apple. Apple under Cook also gave away $50 million to Stanford hospitals.

By contrast, Jobs personally didn't have any public record of giving to charity. Once it was reported by employees that Jobs thought Apple giving away money was a waste of time.
