Bangalore: Tech world could be a big paradox. The companies even with great innovative products die, only because of wrong timing, but never the less they bring change, they set bar, they lead the next innovation. Read on to know list of 13 such tech companies that changed the world, but then got buried, as compiled by MAXIMUM PC.

#13 3dfx Interactive

3dfx was the creator of the esteemed Voodoo PC video card line. The Voodoo heralded a new era of high-performance and high-quality 3D graphics for gaming.

It was a pioneer in the field from the late 1990s until 2000, when it underwent one of the most high-profile demises in the history of the PC industry for various wrong decisions.

Its intellectual assets (and many employees) were acquired by its rival, Nvidia. 3dfx Interactive filed for bankruptcy on October 15, 2002.

The Voodoo2’s SLI technology lived on through NVIDIA, and ATI also developed its CrossFire platform based on the same concept.
