#9 Steve Jobs Least Cared About Newton

Apple’s MessagePad, Newton, can easily be considered as stepping stone towards realizing a blockbuster gadget ‘iPad’ in later years.  It is the first series of personal digital assistant (PDA) devices developed by Apple for the Newton platform in 1993.

When Steve Jobs rejoined Apple as CEO after getting fired by the company he co-founded. The first thing he did was to kill Newton MessagePad.  Thousands of angry Newtonians expressed their anguish, holding up their orphaned MessagePads to protest the betrayal at Macworld conventions, and writing 5,500-word obituaries for the device.

#8 Verizon's Unlimited Data Plan Has Its Limits

In mid-2000, users were literally carried away by Verizon’s offer of unlimited data plan. However the users who had tethered their mobile broadband dreams to a Verizon EVDO device had to dish out more cash for exceeding the limits on their unlimited data plans.
