Aiko was invented by Le Trung and is considered as his dream project. This humanoid was designed to resemble a near-perfect woman and has become increasingly beautiful and human-like with every iteration since its launch in 2007. Aiko is a Japanese word which stands for “beloved one.”

Hiroshi Ishiguro of Osaka University is one of the world’s foremost experts on the construction and design of life-like robots. Geminoid F is his latest creation and it is insanely close in appearance to a female model she was based on. Hiroshi strongly believes that robots will reach the point where people won't be able to distinguish them from humans from short interactions, in a matter of years.
