#4 Auto Complete Suggestion Sued

For most of us the Google’s auto complete feature looks cool. But when you search for “Bettina Wulff” the search engine will auto complete with term like “escort” and “prostitute.” This was a big annoyance for the former first lady of Germany, Wife of Christian Wulff, and he sued Google for defamation.  If it was not enough, the Google got sued by Lyonnaise de Garantie bank for auto compete its name with terms like “con man” and “crook”. The bank won $65,000 in the lawsuit. And there was a warning from Japanese court for a man complained about his name being auto completed with crimes he hadn’t committed.

#3 Lindsay Lohan’s “Milkaholic” Suit

When Etrade in an ad used “that milkaholic Lindsay” phrase, the Hollywood actress got miffed and filed a $100 million lawsuit. She said that the Super Bowl ad that presented funny babies talking about “milkaholic Lindsay” was direct references to the problems she was having with alcohol. Both parties reached on to an agreement which got Lindsay some undisclosed money.
