PhantomX is a robotic spider developed by Trossen Robotics Community. It must be the cheapest robot available for you right now at a retailing price of $1200. This creepy but awesome hexapod walks and dance like a pro and it moves in all directions. It can be a perfect example of how robots are becoming cheaper and more accessible to humans. According to many reports, which pointed to the miracles this PhantomX can do with slight modifications, it definitely marks a new era for robots.

#6 Charli

Charli, a humanoid robot built by Virginia Tech’s Robotics and Mechanisms Laboratory can do unimaginable things. He will perform ‘Gangnam Style’ dance better than you. He plays soccer and has extreme walking and balancing capabilities. You push him down, and he will make himself right again. Charli was named as "America's first true humanoid robot" due to its biological design and resemblance to humans. He had also won last year’s “Best Invention of the Year" by Time magazine.
