10 Gmail Features You Don't Know

#9 Save attachments directly to Google Drive

Gmail users can view and save the attachments directly to the Google Drive without having to leave opened mail, according to the latest announcement from Google in a blog post on November 12, 2013.

This means you can save files directly to the Google Drive without downloading them but by just clicking on the hovering Drive button over the attachment previews at the bottom of the opened mail.

Adding to it the new Gmail feature also allows you to move the attachments to specific folders. And it doesn’t mean that you can’t download a Gmail file, that ability will be there with you always.

Google also says that the new feature will work for all types of files be it images, word documents, videos, spreadsheets or PDFs.

The new attachment experience will roll out to Gmail users over the next week and it will be available on desktop first before reaching out toother platforms.
