iimjobs.com Raises Seed Funding From Several Investors

New Delhi: iimjobs.com, a job portal that focuses on mid-to-senior level placements, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from One97 Communications, India Venture Partners, Pallav Nadhani, Abishek Rungta, Anand Lunia, Shailesh Vickram Singh, Sachin Garg and several others.

The company plans to use the fund to develop the platform and build a customer facing team. It is also ramping up the engineering team to build tools to help recruiters and jobseekers find each other.

The site offers a job board featuring jobs across MBA streams such as finance, sales, marketing, consulting, HR and more. It is a platform where job seekers indicate their preferences and choose their areas of interest and skills, to receive a personalized feed which they can modify later by unfollowing certain streams or keywords.

Launched in 2008 by Tarun Matta, the site has built a slow yet steady growth model where they did not charge any money for putting up the job and or even to apply for the open positions. The company has significantly grown and carved a niche for itself in a relatively competitive and mature online recruitment market. iimjobs.com was earlier backed by The Morpheus. Currently the site claims to get around 150 job postings a day, but aims to reach a daily target of 500-600 postings. It also tends to stick to the niche mid-senior level jobs.
