iKure Raises Undisclosed Angel Investment


Bangalore: Kolkata based healthcare provider iKure Techsoft has received undisclosed angel investment from Intellecap Impact Investment Network (I-cube-N).  The investment was made by two (High Networth Individuals) HNI members of the network namely Jayesh Parekh, co-founder of Sony Entertainment Television and Nandan Maluste, who will also be joining the company’s Board. The procured funds will be utilized by the company for setting up Rural Health Centers (RHCs) across West Bengal over the next 3-4 months, reports DealCurry.

Founded by three ex-Oracle professionals in 2009, iKure was established to provide comprehensive solutions to issues in primary health care in rural India by taking over the management of existing Rural Health Centers and setting up their own RHCs where none existed.

The company sets up full equipped RHCs with full-time MBBS doctors, pharmacists and health officers keeping a record of all the activities at the centres.

iKure’s patent pending software platform called WHIMS currently runs over 20 RHCs across West Bengal and Orissa providing consultations to over 150,000 patients.

I-cube-N is an angel network assist in investments up to $ 1Mn into early stage for profit enterprises in Agriculture, Clean Energy, Education, Financial Services and Water and Sanitation and Healthcare as well.

I-cube-N helps in sourcing and screening enterprises, providing iKure with extensive consultations before showcasing them to its members. The network currently has over 30 members, and is inviting more HNIs and early stage funds to join and co-invest into double-bottom line enterprises.
