Bangalore: Gramener, Stelling and Anaxee, three startups that most of us have not heard of until now, along with many others could be the front runners of the Indian software industry.

Gramener is a startup that deals with data crunching and representation of data in a visual form. According to their website, Gramener can deliver in days, what corporate employees take weeks or more, with the help of their cutting edge technology.

Stelling has launched a beta platform for the railways which will provide information about the train status, station status, train time table etc, to the Indian Railway passengers and their family or contacts interested in getting personalized real time updates on their journey using modes of communication like Internet, Email, Text Messages, Voice, etc. This platform has been developed in collaboration with Indian Railways.

The Indian Startup Superstars

Anaxee Technology, developed new innovative biometric technology and pattern recognition device – F1 USB Scanner as a Single Fingerprint device for Aadhaar Authentication.

These three enterprises and many others in the country like these companies form the backbone of our economy; as small and medium enterprises like these create jobs and maintain the inflow and allocation of resource in the country and spare us from large scale unemployment.

For over two decades, India has proudly boasted with its reputation of being one of the global leaders in software outsourcing but we are nowhere as a country when it comes to product companies, which is considered to be the true “powerhouse” of technology. It maybe a while before we see a company that can compare with giants like Google or Microsoft but these companies are definitely creating innovative products and are offering solutions to Indian IT sector solving specific tech problems which means, they are becoming a valuable part of a fast moving industry.

What looks like a slow start can shape into a bright future for the Indian IT industry.
