Vinod Khosla-backed Unitus Seed Fund Invests In Caravan Craft


Bangalore: Bangalore based Caravan Craft, an apparel and home décor startup has raised 1 crore from Vinod Khosla-backed Unitus Seed Fund. The raised funds will be used by the startup to set up retail outlets and to enhance its supply chain, reports ET.

Founded and incorporated by Sudipta Sinha, Manjeshwar Ramdas Ashutosh, Kunal Sachdev and Sonal Sachdev. Caravan Craft sells home décor items and women apparels which are made by traditional artisans from across the country.

Caravan Craft through its unique business model intends to improve the livelihood of such traditional artisans by building a strong community and a commercially sustainable environment with the sale of contemporary, customized and customer-focused products and merchandise.

The startup has an integrated business model and creates revenue from the sale of merchandise and crafts made and developed by the local artisans of traditional authenticity. It also plans to launch a single brand concept in the country and plans to set up its first retail store in Bangalore.
