Vinod Khosla to set up an Incubator in India: To Benefit Social Startups


Bangalore: Budding Indian entrepreneurs with a social orientation have good news coming their way. Vinod Khosla, venture capitalist and founder of Khosla Ventures and one of the co-founders of Sun Microsystems is now planning his new entity to operate outside the U.S. reports business-standard.com

Technology startups in India can expect a little more liberty in terms of acceleration and incubation as Khosla labs, the new entity will be soon available and would play the role of an incubator focusing to help technology startups. The expected time for this venture to start operations is six months.

Khosla labs would act as a centre to help Indian entrepreneurs develop solutions and businesses basically the ones that focus on solving various issues regarding the country. There are no preset criteria involved in this program but the focus through his labs would be to support ventures that would solve issues like social inequalities, governance issues and public grievances.
