UrbanLadders Raises Funding From Saif Partners


Bangalore: UrbanLadder, a Bangalore-based e-retailer has raised an undisclosed amount in  funding from Saif Partners. With this investment, Deepak Gaur from Saif Partners will join the board of UrbanLadder, reports iamwire.

Kallari Capital backed online home decor retailer UrbanLadder, was co founded by Ashish Goel and Rajiv Srivatsa in January 2012. In August 2012, the company received funding of 1million from Kallari Capital, after which Vani Kola also joined the company.

Ashish Goel is a ex –McKinsey and ex-COO of ACK Media, where as Rajiv Srivatsa had worked for Yahoo. UrbanLadder is currently operated by Descasa Home Decor Online Private Limited. This online furniture store offers wide varieties of furniture’s including sofas, beds, tables and accessories.

Urban Ladder, provides payment options like credit and debit card and cash on delivery. It currently functions in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, Chennai and Pune and also plans to expand to Hyderabad. “We are now comfortably the largest furniture seller online, growth is going well,” said Ashish Goel.

Saif Partners has been part of Indian market since 2001, during the last year they invested in TMA Hospitality Services and also have over 30 investments which include Edelweiss, Home Shop 18, Taj Hotels, TV 9, Havells, etc.
