United Mobile Apps Nets $1 Million In Series A Round Of Funding


Bangalore: The three year old startup United Mobile Apps has secured $1 million in series A round of funding led by Mumbai Angels. The company plans to use the fund primarily for engineering expansion, sales and marketing.

Founded by Arun Samudrala and Sriram V Iyer, United Mobile Apps is a mobile/broadband/wireless technology company that focuses on connection management, device management and data synchronization software with products like UConnect, UManage and USync.

Prior to this, the company has raised $200,000 in angel funding. Sriram V Iyer, co-founder, United Mobile Apps, said that the investment shall help them expand to APAC, EU, U.S.

The company has a team of 15 employees and plans to double the team size by the fourth quarter of 2012. It also plans to bring 1-2 semiconductor partners and 6 ODM partners onboard.
