Top Indian Incubators Nourishing Fresh Startups

Center for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), IIM Ahmedabad

This center started incubation in 2007 but it doesn’t provide physical space. They have the concept that the entrepreneurs should build their ideas from their own places, so that the local economy benefits from its growth. Around 50 companies were incubated by CIIE among which only few were owned by the IIM students. Some of them are Colored.by, Biosense, Boond, Croak.it, Flick2know, and Ideophone. This prestigious business center in India is taking care of the sectors like technology, clean technology, social sector startups and healthcare.

NS Raghavan Center for Entrepreneurship Learning, IIM Bangalore

This Bangalore based center, managed by IIM Bangalore, offers all the basic facilities that startups need to start a business, like an office, desktops, hi-speed internet facility, uninterrupted power supply and so on. The biggest advantage is the mentoring from their highly qualified professionals. They even offer seed money support to the incubate companies. The funding, though, primarily comes from the government.
