Tookitaki Raises $200,000 In Angel Investment


Bangalore: Tookitaki, a Kolkata based social targeting and ad optimization platform has raised around $200,000 in funding from CIIE Ahmedabad, Blume Ventures, India Internet Group and Harvard Angels. Other parties involved in the round were Manoj Gupta, founder, Craftsvilla.com, an online store for handicraft products, Ravi Trivedi, founder, Srijan Capital, and Rahul Garg, head of strategy (APAC) at Google Inc, reports Deal curry.

Founded and incorporated in 2012 by Abhishek Chatterjee and Jeeta Bandhopadhyay, Tookitaki is operated by Social Audience Pvt Ltd. It was incubated at iAccelerator at IIM-A under CIIE and graduated earlier this year, already earning funds twice prior to this funding.

Srijan Capital, Aakrit Vaish, director of Flurry Inc.; Miten Sampat, VP (product strategy) at Neustar; Anuj Pulstya, member of the Indian Angel Network; Maneesh Bhandari, investor director at Framebench; Anand Ladsariya, owner of Everest Flavours, and Nitin Agarwal, owner of NM Fashions were the investors who induced the first round of funding which was around 12 lakhs, while the startup was still incubating.

Later, in the month of April it raised its second round of funding of about 1 crore from Anirudh Suri, Ravi Gururaj and Ramesh Kumar Shah at Startup Roots, an initiative under the Nasscom 10,000 Startups programme.
