Bangalore: Ezetap, a Bangalore based startup is trying to revolutionize the traditional clichéd payment methods to paying using mobile phone card reader. This startup is working hard to help people bid farewell to regular swiping by letting them pay through their Android phone card reader at ease, reports TOI.

Reserve Bank of India has also given its approval for the idea and soon the credit card point of sales (POS) will do away with “zip zap” swipe machines. Citibank has taken this initiative forward and it already has many merchants trying out this new technology that includes Shoppers Stop, Vodafone and Bajaj Allianz.  



The device (card reader) is in the form of a cigarette box and has the technological brilliance of recording signatures on a touchscreen from a stylus. "Besides replicating the job of the POS terminal, the mobile payment solution can be customized to specific business needs,
