Bangalore: This story of an Indian Entrepreneur who waded his way through the times and adapted to change is truly an inspiring one. How does a man who worked in a calculator repairing shop in 1985 go on to become one of the leading service providers in computer technologies by the early 2000’s. Read the amazing story of Kailash Katkar, CEO and Founder of Quick heal,as reported by ET.

In 1985, Kailash Katkar took up a job at a local radio and calculator repair shop in Pune right after completing his 10th standard, due to financial issues. The owner of the shop sent him to Mumbai for training and he earned a meager salary of 1,500 per month and over the next five years he not only acquired skills of repairing radios and calculators but he also picked up enough skills to be able to handle his employer’s  accounts.

Soon he felt confident enough to be able to start a business of his own and in 1990, with a capital of 15,000 he leased a small 100 sq ft office in Pune and started a one-man venture. He soon began making small profits from his business but he wasn’t satisfied with the progress therefore he decided to expand his area of service and enrolled for a short computer management course to understand the basics of computer management.
