He is one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the technology space to raise such funding. He is the founder and CEO of a London-based company, Summly that essentially looks at the content of a web page and creates a quick summary of that web page, then formats it nicely for the iPhone screen. During the time of pitching the investors, he was so impressive that prominent billionaire Hong Kong investor Li Ka-shing decided to invest in his venture.

D’Aloisio received his first computer at the age of nine after which he started to create movies with editing tools. He began writing apps at the age of 12 in 2008.
