The Global Startup Guys: Who Are They?


BANGALORE:  When looking at the business forum of the last decade and analyzing the amount of successful startups there have been, it can be rightfully called an era of startups. In the last year there has been news on a startup in some corner of the world filling at least one section of the newspaper or an acquisition of a small business by a larger one. Some of these startups go on to become a huge company, giving competition to already the existing ones, while others are acquired by larger corporations.

Some of the renowned startups which are quite famous have been the products of the hard work from co-founders of large companies like Facebook and Twitter to name a few. So who are the guys that are the forerunners of this growth in Startups? Well here is a list compiled by Economic Times.

Sean Parker:

The name Sean Parker is linked to a number of startup companies and is a vibrant entrepreneur. Parker is from Virginia, USA, and is linked to the start of the file-sharing computer company called Napster back when he was only fifteen years old.

He was the first president of the famous social networking site that was start by Mark Zuckerbeg, Facebook.

Apart from these two major companies, Parker has cofounded Plaxo, Causes, and Airtime. Plaxo is an address book and a social networking, Causes is an online campaigning platform and Airtime is a live video website. Parker had huge investments in various other startup companies as well. His involvement with startups and giving a push to small businesses makes him as one of the leading figures in global startups around the world.
