Squeakee Gets Funded by Kae Capital and Mumbai Angels


Bangalore: Mumbai based Squeakee, a yet to be launched search engine that provides online and offline discounts and offers based on location has raised funding from Kae Capital and Mumbai Angels. The details on the funding are not disclosed but this startup plans to utilize the funding to strengthen its team, build a mobile website and also to build a location based app in the next few months reports Dealcurry.

Founded and incorporated by Abrar Shaikh, Squeakee just works like a normal search engine but is focused on products, their offers, discounts etc, which can be sorted out based on the location or vicinity. This search engine has not yet been launched and the management team plans to make it live during this week.

Squeakee currently has its operations focused only in Mumbai but plans to expand to other cities in the country like Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai by the end of 2013. “There is a phenomenal potential for a service like ours. We are targeting revenue of $1 million in the next two years,” says Abrar Shaikh, as stated to economic times.

Sasha Mirchandani launched Kae Capital in August 2012 to support and fund early stage startups and ventures and generally invests $200,000 to $500,000 in its first round.
