ScienceLogic Nabs $15Million Led By Intel Capital

Fremont: ScienceLogic, an IT cloud services startup, has raised a new $15 million in series B funding led by Intel Capital, with participation from previous investor New Enterprise Associates (NEA). The new funds will be used for global sales expansion, marketing its service, and further development of its technology. The investment from Intel Capital and NEA brings ScienceLogic’s total financing to $30 million.

Along with the new funding, ScienceLogic also announced that it has appointed John Becker as its new CEO, while previous CEO and company co-founder David Link will remain as chairman of the board.

Founded in 2003, ScienceLogic facilitates centralized IT operations and dynamic cloud management by uniting and correlating critical IT functions such as performance, fault, availability, asset, service desk, automation, and event management, all in a single product. The cohesive ScienceLogic platform provides an accurate, actionable view of business service delivery across any mix of physical, virtual and cloud environments. Beyond just monitoring, ScienceLogic technology gives service providers and enterprises the management and customization capabilities needed to deliver optimal application performance, improve IT efficiency, and confidently move to new architectures and differentiated service offerings.

“Both Intel Capital and NEA understand that as organizations move infrastructure and services to the cloud, it’s critical to have unified, dynamic management of IT service delivery across all computing and application resources used no matter where they reside. This is an opportune time to join ScienceLogic with its continued growth and strong backing from NEA and new investor Intel Capital. We see this as confirmation of the strength of our platform and our superior approach to IT management in the 21st century. I’m honored to be leading this talented team during this dynamic time in the company’s history,” said Becker.
