PubMatic Acquires MobiPrimo


Bangalore: PubMatic, a digital media platform company for publishers, has acquired MobiPrimo to provide native, cross-device support for premium publishers. MobiPrimo is a mobile development technology firm that specializes in bringing mobile platform integration to companies such as Nokia, Motorola and Microsoft.  This transaction will allow PubMatic’s mobile platform to integrate directly with the leading mobile networks, ad servers and demand-side platforms (DSPs).  The acquisition also more than doubles the number of employees on the company’s dedicated mobile development team.

Its mobile platform will support all the features included in the PubDirect suite of management tools. “Integrating mobile into our platform simplifies a previously complex effort,” says Josh Wetzel, Vice President of Mobile, PubMatic. PubDirect was announced by the company in February this year. It offers premium publishers the tools they need to navigate the increasingly complex digital marketplace by allowing them to monetize their guaranteed and non-guaranteed inventory in a private marketplace that covers all demand channels. “Now, we’re giving publishers a single platform that ensures transparency and revenue maximization with a team behind it that is here to help,” says Wetzel.
