PK Online To Get 100 Crore Initial Funding


BANGALORE: PK Online Ventures, an Indian digital media firm has reached the threshold of securing 100 crore in its initial round of funding. The Venture capital firms reported to be pumping funds are Nirvana Venture Advisors and Bertelsmann India Investments as per ET. The investment will be used to enhance the technologies of the  company and to popularize their brand name.

Boasting of its over 15 million mobile internet user base the budding venture is all set to energize the digital content ecosystem. PK online provides services including Mobile video monetization, content management, multiscreen TV platform and lot more. Founded in 2007 the firm is valued at 400 crore and has offices in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. The investors are assumed to take about 25 and 30 percent share in the company as furnished in the report.

Even though Viraj Malik, CEO and Managing Director of PK online was available for contact, he failed to provide details on the name of the investors. However Malik confirmed that there would be a fresh round of funding into the venture which is thought to be accomplished by June. PK online is born out of Percept Knorigin, a player in Indian media and entertainment industry which invested 2 crore at the time of its establishment.
