Mouse-e Nets 1 Crore In Angel Funding


Bangalore: Mouse eRetail that has launched a horizontal ecommerce venture Mouse-e has raised 1 crore in angel round of funding from un-named investors and is in talks with a couple of venture capitalists for an investment up to $5 million by June this  year for pan-India expansion covering top 130 cities.

Headquartered in Bangalore, the company was founded by Subhendu Tripathy, Tapan Kumar Das and Chitta Rajan in December last year. It deals with a wide range of product categories such as books, personal communication gadgets, computers, home entertainment systems, sarees, personal care items and others.

Subhendu Tripathy is an MBA and has an experience of 16 years in marketing research and analysis in the corporate sector. Tapan Das is a chartered accountant and holds over 13 years of experience in marketing, and Chitta Ranjan is an MBA and has worked as sales manager in many companies for 16 years.

The company is first of its kind to tie up with xygle.com to enable the customers to download mobile shopping application from the website and shop form a digital catalogue. For retaining the customers confidence, the company has tied up with the FedEx, a U.S. based logistic services firm for in time delivery of goods.
