Mobikon Procures Funding From Jungle Ventures


Bangalore: Mobikon, a cloud based company has raised $1.7 million in series A funding from Singapore based Jungle ventures and regional angel investors, this also includes Ravi Mantha, Member of the Board of Trustees at The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE).   

Mobikon offers cloud based digital marketing and customer engagement platforms for hospitality and retail industries through its product- KONEKT. KONET is an application specifically designed for hotel, spa’s, restaurants and resorts. It integrates mobile, email, social media, voice and web based technologies and helps reach users or customers using the smallest and fastest digital media channel.

Samir Khadepaun and Salil Kahmkar founded Mobikon in 2009 and it claims to have over 100 customers in hospitality and retail sectors in India, Africa, Australia and South East Asia. It plans to utilize the funding to increase sales and to improve business development activities in geographies.

Mobikon has a strong client base and they include Copper Chimney, Spaghetti Kitchen, Keys Hotel, Central Park Hotel and few other hotels. It has its headquarters located in Singapore and has other operating offices in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Surat in India.

The funding company – Jungle Ventures is also a Singapore based firm which provides early stage investments and business building infrastructure to startups across Asia Pacific region. It focuses to fund more early stage investments in India, Singapore, South East Asia and such other hot-spots of innovation, as reported by deal curry.
