Kormangala: The Startup Hotspot Of Bangalore


BANGALORE: The silicon valley of India is one of the major hubs for business. It has thousands of companies competing and serving their customers. Bangalore city plays a major role in the increased number of startups in the country. The metro politian city grabs the attention of youngsters with developed infrastructure and widely spread international companies. Kormangala is known as the heart of the city, which has turned in to a commercial hub, reports Economic Times.

Kormangala is filled with business organizations, well known pubs, cafes and restaurant. It is one of the most happening places in the city. It is always preferred as hotspot for any business startup because of its connectivity towards all parts of the city. Over the years the place has grown in market value from a residential place to commercial hub.

Sachin Bansal the co-founder of Flipkart started the E-commerce business from a small apartment in Kormangala and now grown as the largest selling e-traders. Apart from Flipkart, Swiggy the recent food chain startup is taking the industry by storm.  LocalOye, a $5m-funded professional services locator; HackerEarth, a talent search company aimed at finding programmers; payment gateway Instamojo; community-based housing search startup Grabhouse; and ZipDial, which was acquired by Twitter recently. Then there are those who have moved, like Ola which chose to shift base from Mumbai to Koramangala.
