Josh Software Develops Next Big Web Based Solutions

BANGALORE: In the current scenario of elevated risk created by the vulnerabilities of threats to the country’s IT infrastructure, building pioneering web solutions is not just a paperwork drill. However, with recent exponential growth in users on the internet, it has been a challenge to develop faster applications in terms of both response and functionality. This is where Josh Software, a company that builds innovative web applications appears.

The idea of formation of Josh Software evolved when Gautam Rege, a techie who aspired to join the Indian Army, took a turn and appeared for engineering entrance and got admission in Pune Institute of Computer Technology. That’s where the turnaround happened and Rege acquired the taste for programming and changed his mind to venture into the field of programming. Rege initially worked with Veritas software wherein he met Sethupathi, who is the Co-founder and director of Josh Software. It was at that time when Gautam and Sethu took a risky step of leaving their high salaried jobs and decided to start their own business of programming.

Initially, Josh Software developed software solutions worked on traditional languages in the industry but that didn’t please with what they were doing. During 2007, the need for open source Ruby language was making the rounds and looking at the good level of awareness about Ruby language globally, Gautam and Sethu decided to develop web based application on the Ruby on Rails framework. An intent passion drew them for building revolutionary web solutions hence the name Josh Software is what it is today.

The start of Josh software was just not the icing on the cake for the founders. The clients pitched in for some new solutions to get online, go paperless, quick iterations for frequently changing processes. Moreover, providing some of these changes and solutions to their clients was a big question in front of them. As Ruby on Rails was less known in India but its awareness was at the good level internationally. It was also hard for these two techies to get skilled programmers in Ruby. Now then, the situation has drastically changed and Ruby has become very popular among programmers. The risk that Josh Software took in 2007 has certainly paid off.
