David O Sacks

The hit comedy-drama movie Thank You for Smoking that was released in 2005 was financed by the founder and CEO of Yammer, David O Sacks along with Max Levchin. Sacks spend over a year trying to acquire the rights to the film from Icon.

Sacks was previously the COO of PayPal until its acquisition by eBay. Subsequently, he founded Geni.com, a family tree building and networking website. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
