Ineda Systems to Raise $20 Million for Expansion

Bangalore: Currently in talks with PE and individual investors, the Hyderabad based Ineda Systems is planning to raise $20 Million to expand its research and development section. The company is designing a new system architecture which will enhance the user experience as well as increase the performance metrics by an order of magnitude compared to the existing technologies, reports DealCurry.

Founded by Balaji Kanigicherla in 2010, Ineda is a semiconductor company that develops state of art integrated circuits and software. It is currently working on next generation mobile computing platforms. “We have already started discussions with a bunch of investors, including venture capitals, private equities and individual investors. It will be debt-based. As timing is a key factor in the technology space, we will raise the money within the next four months,” Balaji told Business Standards.

Balaji’s company currently holds 28 patents and is all set to launch three products by 2013 that would serve the tablet, laptop and Smartphone market. “Currently, the products are in the prototype stage. The manufacturing will be done by some semiconductor fab companies in Taiwan,” the Founder and CEO commented about the future plans of the company.

The team comprises of about a hundred and fifty engineers and there are plans to add another fifty skilled technicians in the further months to come for its development centre in Hyderabad. Ineda Systems’ client base includes equipment manufacturers and corporations based in US, Taiwan and Japan.
