India's Best Start-up Hubs

BANGALORE: Tradition has been a great part of the Indian society and also tends to be carried on through generations. This is one of the things that make India unique because of the way businesses of the similar work line house themselves right beside each other. For example if you walk the streets of Mahabalipuram in Chennai along the beach you will see sculptors, wood workers, toy makers and engravers all housed right beside each other.

This is a traditional set up of how small scale industries that are similar, work alongside each other. Now this is no difference when it comes to business startups. Why? Well somehow startups magnetically attract all entrepreneurs to open shop in the same vicinity that gives them a good focal point and connection to people and for expansion. Well here are some of the hubs that attract entrepreneur enthusiasts to open shops, reports Economic Times.

Koramangala and HSR Layout, Bangalore: For everyone who is familiar with Flipkart and how it began will be familiar with Kormanagala, one of the hotspots in Bangalore. Yes, Flipkart operates from here and it is also starting to become a hub for many other startups. With the number of cafes, pubs and local restaurants, this place is a good place for people of all business backgrounds to come and share their also ideas; a place that opens a network to create friends and contacts. For example CEO of Foofy’s, Akshay Kingar apparently spends most of his time in costa café as reported by ET. His company is expected to get a turnover of 1.5 crores at the end of the year.

HSR layout is also becoming a hub for startups according to ET reports. The only problem faced by the people in this area is the less number of hangout spots like Cafes, bars and local restaurants. Ezetap is a Helion funded startup by Abhijit Bose. He stated that being located in HSR Layout, he is able to save at least 45 minutes of travel time.
